The story
We don't run fleets. We keep them running.
Knox Trailers has been servicing and repairing trailers in East Tennessee since 1993. We don't own fleets — we keep them on the road. That's the whole job, and we've been doing it for more than thirty years.
We know what it costs to lose a trailer for a day. We know what it feels like to call a shop on a Friday afternoon hoping someone picks up, only to be told the earliest they can look at it is Wednesday. We built the shop to be the opposite of that: same-day answers, parts in stock, techs who know their work, documented repairs, honest quotes.
We run the shop the way a fleet manager would want their own trailers serviced. Most of our customers stay with us for years, because we keep showing up the same way.

Diagnosis before estimate.
We don't guess. We bring the trailer in, look at it, and tell you what's actually wrong. The estimate comes after the look, not before.
Parts in stock at the counter.
Brake chambers, slack adjusters, lights, air components, reefer parts — we keep the things our customers need on hand. Walk-in or call ahead. Either way it's ready when you pull up.
No price-only customers.
We don't compete on cheapest hourly rate. We compete on getting it done right, getting it done fast, and standing behind the work. If price is the only thing that matters to you, we're probably not your shop.
Documented work.
Every repair gets documented. Photos when relevant. Paperwork that holds up at roadside inspection. Service history accessible to fleet customers on request.
Honest scope.
If we find more work than the original quote, we call before we do it. If we can't get to your trailer in the time you needed, we tell you Monday morning, not Friday afternoon.
Long relationships over fast revenue.
Our best customers have been with us for years. We earned them by performing. We keep them by continuing to perform.
Family of companies

Knox Trailers didn't start in a vacuum. It's part of a family of East Tennessee transportation companies that goes back to 1964, when Post Leasing and Sales opened its doors. Post Onsite followed in 1987, repairing petroleum transport equipment in the field and in the shop. Knox Trailers joined in 1993, and KP Crossville later extended the truck and trailer work west along I-40. Keeping equipment on the road has been the family business for more than sixty years.
East Tennessee is home. Most of our team is from here. We know the routes between Knoxville and Crossville, Knoxville and Sevierville, Knoxville and Morristown. We know which fleets run which routes, what their seasonal patterns look like, and what the operational reality is for owner-operators working the corridors.
When you call Knox Trailers, you're calling a Knoxville business with deep roots and sister shops up and down the interstate. The person who picks up the phone is the person who'll know your fleet. Not a call center. Not an answering service.
